There are still 10 places left for student volunteers to work on the site of a Late Roman fortress in northern Bulgaria. The team includes c. 30 professional field archaeologists and specialists plus c. 65 archaeology students. Experience not necessary. Training is provided in field skills plus environemental (bones and seeds), geophysics, ceramics and small-finds processing. The cost is c. £11 a day (includes good lodgings and food) plus flight c. £270. Departing c. 13th July, returning c. 18th August. All students must come for the full 5 weeks.
