I got a letter from Cattie Ness pointing out - rightly - that I was not very helpful to Auston Butler who was looking for Arthur's grave, so I have just written to him off line with a few ideas how to get to Glastonbury from Mildenhall by car.
She also pointed out that he might like to visit South Cadbury. If he has time, why not, its a magnificent site. I see that a report of the 1970s excavations is now out, but have not seen it yet. Can anyone say whether the so-called "Arthurian" phase is in fact fully covered in the report and whether the initial interpretations (as presented for example in Leslie Alcock's magnificent Thames and Hudson book) still stand?
