> UKOLN is an important national centre for network information management,
> providing services to the library, information and museum sectors.  It is
> vital to ensure that the appropriate structure, management and controls

> in place to cope with an increasingly complex programme and multiplicity

> funding sources.  The review, therefore, aims to

> *       identify how UKOLN helps fulfil the Resource and JISC missions;
> *       develop with UKOLN and others a three-year work programme;
> *       recommend ways in which advice from related sectors may be
> channelled effectively into UKOLN's work;
> *       see how UKOLN's mission and programme relate to other sectors,
such
> as museums, archives and heritage;
> *       make recommendations on financial systems related to UKOLN's work
> for funding agencies.

> Colloquium
> Part of the review process involves a one-day colloquium enabling
> stakeholders and interested parties to discuss the issues and thereby
inform
> the review.  This will be held at Collingwood College, University of
Durham
> on March 7th, 2001. The programme is:

> 12.00  Presentation by review team
> 12.30   Discussion of issues arising
