Hello all,
It was thought for years that obesity was a predisposing factor in back
problems as well. Until (multiple) research showed that obesity had 0
(zero) correlation with spinal problems..... The biomechanical model (a
large belly weight pulling the facets into a locked, and thus stressed,
position) was just as plausible as the model of the weight transmission
trough the soft tissues in the foot. Still the first one proved to be not
clinical, when it comes to obesity (pregnancy is another story).

For a patient who is that weight I fear in plantarfascitis anything we may
offer and with in my experience there isn't alot we can do except check out
and correct any soft tissue biomechanics, what ever we do will be hindered
by the weight being transmitted through the soft tissues.
Weight loss is probably the best advice
