I might be well off the mark here, but then this is a bit like trying
to answer a riddle! Are there not etymological relations between
"red" and "gold"? If so, the "red Cowe" might possibly refer to the
Golden Calf. That might, at least, be thematically consistent here.
Whatever the relics might be, it is at least possible that they all
refer to a single relic collection.
