I wasn't aware of amiodarone usage for SVT. Certainly verapamil was first
line during the eighties, and people have rarely had any trouble since
adenosine appeared on the scene. But amiodarone seems a tad unwieldy given
that verapamil is a simple 5mg bolus (one ampoule) and works within seconds,
which is why it used to be so popular.
