Hi,
My experience of VRVS is also very positive. Of course people can still
transmit with microphones turned up too high etc. VRVS also supports
connections with H.323 so sounds like a decent migration path. Are the PPNCG
recommendations up to date - they are dated November 1999 which suggests
that they are not. One obvious deficiency is that they assume a world of
Windows which looked feasible at that time.
