In response to Scott's note today the following remark is interesting:

Is this really the case that the philosophical and methodological
bases of computational modelling are not central concerns?
Secondly, did I somehow miss the discussion over how to take these
ideas forward? I guess the involvement of "Simsoc" was not required
formally but it would have been a welcomed inclusive act for the
group as a whole if everyone who participated had been drawn into
this.
