Dear all
This message thread raises an important issue.
The rules of the JISC mail service and the ethical approach is not to
advertise or feature commercial products and services. Yet there is a demand
from the Museums world for help, especially in the area of IT. Invariably if
someone does post a commercial message, a rapid interchange follows.
This seems to beg the need for a forum where commercial providers of
services (such as ourselves) can announce information on their products and
services or where museums can ask "does anyone know anybody who...." type
questions.
Does such a service exist? If not could it be set-up? If the worst comes to
the worst, we have the technology to do a list like this but I think it may
be better if it is run by an objective and independent third party.
Anyone got any thoughts?
Regards

No need to apologise, I would imagine that there are quite a few people on
the list who would be interested in the ball-park costs for computer
touch-screen kiosks. I know I would.........

Subject: apologies
My huge apologies for sending a message out to the whole list in error - I
can only plead a chaotic day!
For future reference to anyone who does the same - don't bother trying to
retrieve it. I thought I had stopped it (in fact received a message saying
it had been stopped) but judging by the abusive emails I've received
(obviously others are having a bad day too!) it crept through.
Again, my apologies.
