Hello
In response to Tommy Kagner's comments I too discovered that the American
Diabetes Association implemented the 5 IP access model. I am unaware of any
other publishers who have implemented such a restriction (other than the
NEJM). However there are many titles that published by Lippincott Williams
and Wilkins that go one step further and restrict access to one specific PC
by IP address.
It would be interesting to hear some form of comment from a publisher as to
the reason why they think this is a good option for making journals
available online.

Subject: 5 IP Access model
Hi,
I've read the discussion about NEJM and the problems with the 5 IP access
model. I recently discovered that the journals from The American Diabetes
Association ( www.diabetesjournals.org <http://www.diabetesjournals.org> )
have implemented the same kind of access model. Do you know of any other
journals trying to implement the same kind of access model?
