If we are ever to realise the true potential of electronic
publishing, then primary and secondary publishers,
aggregators and intermediaries must co-operate by
making it easy for users to move seamlessly between
online content.  Linking, in all its forms, is at the heart
of this co-operation, and developments like CrossRef
have illustrated that much has already been achieved.
There does however remain tremendous potential for
further development, as technological barriers continue
to come down and competitors increasingly become
collaborators.

This UKSG seminar is aimed at all parties in the information
chain who are either seeking to learn about the current
status and application of linking technology, or who wish to
hear about the exciting developments that are just around the
corner.  With speakers who are widely regarded as experts in
this field, this one-day seminar should prove to be a highly
informative and stimulating event.
