Forth Valley GIS are expanding and require two new members of staff to
compliment the existing team. Both posts are two year fixed term
appointments based at Forth Valley GIS premises in Stirling.
Post 1: GIS Project Leader (£23,430 - £28,404). You will project manage
GIS-related projects (both desktop and intranet-based) as well as provide
analysis, advice and support of new and/or existing GIS applications. We
are particularly interested in someone who has successfully addressed issues
related to geographic data management for a local authority (or equivalent).
A degree in GIS, computer studies, or related discipline is essential.
Post 2: GIS Analyst / Programmer (£23,430 - £25,476). You will be
responsible for the development of desktop and intranet GIS applications.
It is essential you have at least 2 years experience in GIS programming
languages for a local authority (or equivalent). Software development
skills in Visual Basic, Java Script, HTML, Avenue, and Microsoft Access are
desirable. You will also help respond to ad-hoc projects as appropriate.
The successful applicants will work on a wide variety of important and
innovative projects for FVGIS customers in the public sector with ESRI-based
technologies (ArcGIS and ArcIMS) used for the delivery of these
applications. Some travel to sites throughout Scotland will be required.
