The Federation of Deaf People
FDP TO HOLD EURO BSL MARCH ON 7th JULY 2001!
For the third year running, The Federation of Deaf People (FDP) are pleased
to announce that we will be holding a national march for the recognition of
British Sign Language (BSL). This year, we will have a Euro theme, to tie
with the 2001 European Year of Languages. We are also introducing a NEW
route to add to the fun!
MEET: Outside the University of London, Malet Street, London WC1 at 11am
for a 12 noon start
NEAREST TUBE STATIONS: Warren Street, Goodge Street, Russell Square, Euston
Square and Euston
(We will march through Montague Place, Russell Square, Southampton Row,
Kingsway, Aldwych and The Strand, ending up at Trafalgar Square.)
RALLY: Will be brief, to allow you time to catch up with friends, explore
London, or whatever you may like to do.
BRING: Banners, flags and colourful costumes! There will be prizes for the
best outfit and kids' home-made banners!
BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!

Lets make this march - our third national mass BSL march - the BIGGEST EVER!
This year's kids banner competition means fun for all the family! Why not
encourage children you know to make their own banners and win a *prize*?
Prizes also for best fancy dress!
This year we are also introducing our new 'Atmosphere Police' to cheer the
