Hi Fiona,
Are you saying that you've sent attachments from within Blackboard that
weren't received? We are having exactly that problem here at Hull. Ordinary
messages seem to get through, but not ones with attachments. Our computer
centre staff have noticed this and are working on it, but it is only
affecting blackboard and no other emai service. Has anyone else noticed this
with their system?
Off the top of my head, I don't think you can sub divide files online in the
same way you can't sub divide or order work in the drop box. Perhaps a work
around for now would be to set up separate groups specifically to drop this
work in? A bit sloppy I know but one suggestion at least...
regards
Paul

Subject: Ordering Files in File Exchange for Groups
Hello again!
Firstly I have also sent numerous messages on Blackboard with very
important attachments that I now realise weren't received by the intended
people. I wish I had known sooner.
Secondly - I have encouraged groups and file share amongst students through
groups and file exchange and this seems to be popluar among students - one
question I have though - Can you create subdirectories within file
exchange? Or folders as in course documents? Is there any way to order the
files once on Blackboard in file exchange area? I created a course
specifically for file share amongst these particular students but they want
to keep Marketing notes separate from MIS notes for eg...and cannot seemt o
do this. Any suggestions?????
Appreciate the help very much. Thank you - next time in Dublin Guinness is
on me!!!
Thank you
Fiona Littleton
