I wouldn't give it a second glance; their web page lacks
a DTD, doesn't validate, and uses deprecated HMTL.
P.S., I was going to recommend "http://www.hwg.org/" but
I see that despite claiming HTML 4.0 compliance even
their page does not validate :-( However, I /do/ believe
they are sufficiently professional to response promptly
as soon as I report this problem; I'll keep you posted!

Subject: HTML 4.0 compliance claimed but not achieved
Dear Colleague -- I /was/ about to recommend your organisation
to a colleague who enquired about the "World Organization of
Webmasters" but I was forced to withdraw my recommendation when
I found that despite claiming HTML 4.0 compliance, "http://www.hwg.org/"
does /not/ validate. Are you aware of this?
