Transport Lessons from the Fuel Crisis
A One-Day Seminar
Thursday 13th September 2001
University College London
Pearson Lecture Theatre, Gower Street
One year on from the UK fuel tax protests, this unique event provides an
opportunity for researchers, planners and policymakers to learn more of how
car users react when faced with a rationing of their personal motorised
mobility. It is an opportunity to discuss what new insights into car

for future pursuit of viable alternatives to the car or to the ways in
which the car is currently used.
