PROJECT CURATOR (MANCHESTER SCIENCE)
Two year fixed-term appointment
Salary: 17,420 GB pounds per annum
The award winning Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester is completing
a Final Phase development which includes the creation of new galleries and a
Collections Centre. We are now seeking a Project Curator to join our
Collections and Information Department at this exciting time.
Reporting to the Senior Curator, you will be responsible for helping develop
a major new gallery 'Manchester Science'. The post-holder will also
contribute to other aspects of the development scheme and work of the
Department, e.g. the Collections Centre which provides storage and access to
object and archive collections.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally you will have relevant
experience in a museum or heritage environment and demonstrable knowledge of
science. A clear and confident communicator with a flexible approach, you
will be equally at ease working independently or in a team.
