CONSULTATION STUDY: A NATIONAL RESOURCE FOR USERS OF LEARNING
TECHONLOGIES
Dear colleague
We are carrying out a consultation study for two national projects that
are working to develop a UK resource for users of learning technologies.
Your input would be extremely valuable in helping us to determine the
kinds of resources and services which are needed, and to understand how
practitioners might make use of them. Please take ten minutes to
complete a survey - available online or as a downloadable rtf document -
at http://www.ltss.bris.ac.uk/surveys/survey0.htm.
There are no prizes - except the satisfaction of knowing your
contribution is appreciated and useful! Further details of the projects
are given below, and I would be happy to respond directly to any
comments or questions you may have.
With many thanks in advance for your input,
best wishes
Helen

The RESULTS network is developing a single portal to learning technology
resources, funded by the JISC as part of the Distributed National
Electronic Resource. It is concerned to support users of learning
technology across the HE and FE communities with directories of
expertise, guidelines, reviews, examples, case studies, overviews of
current practice and community development activities. The project is
based at the University of Warwick.
The SoURCE project is currently developing a national Reusable
Educational Software Library for learning and teaching in higher
education, including items such as software shells and re-usable
components (simulations, models, representations), along with guidelines
for customisation and re-use in different contexts of learning and
teaching. The project is based at the Open University
