Apologies for cross-postings.
The Austrian federal road administration intends to expand its WIM network
and to invest in new WIM systems and sites next year. They asked the
Institute for Road Construction and Maintenance (ISTU) at TU Vienna to
support them in a pre-selection of potential WIM systems and companies
who later will be invited by the Ministry for a bid. We should give our
recommendations to the road administration until the end of May and
are therefore in a hurry to contact as many WIM companies as possible
to ask them to complete a questionnaire we developed.
All potential suppliers of WIM systems are therefore kindly invited to
complete the attached
questionnaire (WIM-SUPPLIER-Q1.PDF) and return it as soon as possible to
the contact address below.
Since the Austrian road administration is also interested in the experience
of other WIM users they have with their WIM systems, we prepared another
questionnaire with some specific questions concerning WIM system operation
and maintenance
costs. We would highly appreciate if also those people who are using WIM
systems (e.g. from road administration or road operation companies)
could complete this short questionnaire (WIM-USER-Q1.PDF).
