I was also slightly surprised by the relatively orthodox
recommendations from a "radical" group until I realised this. I would
have expected a more innovative and demonstrative line for teaching
non-specialists. That's not to say that the conversation hasn't been
useful to me.

Of course, my earlier reservations about encouraging poor students to
buy the 30 pound ActiveStats (I think) should be emphasised 9 times as
