Dear all,
Anybody apart from Pat any thoughts on books that you find particularly
useful for teaching? Like Pat I often use the standard books (Bland, Altman,
Kirkwood etc) but for an introductory session (2.5 hrs) on statistical
concepts in an MSc module on research methods in primary care I use
Eldridge S. Ashby D. Statistical Concepts in Primary Care. Master classes
in primary care research. Series editors Carter Y and Shaw S. Royal College
of General Practitioners 2000.
It is a workbook rather than a textbook, with lots of prinary care research
papers reprinted in the back for practical examples, very light on the
equation side! I hesitate to do a review for obvious reasons!
