i don't know if artists are better lovers, because they can be pretty
selfish sometimes - don't take offense to that. i think that artists know
what they want from love, and would like to share their idea of love with
the person they have choosen.

But do their lovers agree?
Sufism, the only religion to beatify poets, privileges transgressive love
as a necessary stage on the path to God. Passionate sexual love, of
whatever orientation, is certainly seen as a transgressive energy in the
mores of our society, it challenges too many boundaries, and is strongly
discouraged - being split off into the parodic polarities of "romantic
love" or pornography, or just sedated in the aneasthetic ideal of
marriage.
