"Looking for a hole" (acoustic version)
I went back to look
for the place where we last met,
walked up and down
the town we used to call our own.
I still read your stars,
Capricorn, Capricorn:
I just want to know
how you might be getting on.
Nothing had changed -
It was more than I could easily bear,
so I walked back to the station
cursing under my breath;
and I sat with a paper
waiting for the train to roll in,
and I sipped at my coffee
wishing for a hole to curl up and die in.
Sat on the platform
rolling me a cigarette,
but the wind and the weather
wouldn't let none of my matches stay lit.
Wish I could lose that craving -
always makes me feel like shit.
Maybe it's time I gave up smoking.
Maybe it's time I learned to forget.
Well I read it in your stars,
Capricorn, Capricorn,
that you're always breaking hearts -
at least I'm not the only one.
Won't somebody tell me why
somebody always ends up crying?
Yeah, somebody always ends up looking for a hole
to curl up and die in.
