Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research position from 1
September 2001 or as soon as possible thereafter in the School of
Management. The post is funded by an EPSRC research grant on
optimising the survival probabilities of start-up companies and is for
two years.
The research involves developing dynamic programming and
simulation models of the operations management problems of start-
up companies. It involves collaboration between the University of
Southampton, the University of Edinburgh and Monash University,
Melbourne. The candidate should have or expect to obtain shortly a
Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
Salary will be at 18,731 UK Pounds per annum on Research Grade
1A, spinal point 6. The appointment will be fixed term for 2 years.
