With the support of EURO, the UK Local Search Study Group and the EU/ME
Working Group have organized a joint seminar on metaheuristics.  The
timetable is as follows. 

10.30 - 11.00  Coffee
11.00 - 11.50  Some applications of variable neighbourhood search

12.00 - 12.40  The impact of the data structures in the algorithm 
               implementation for the travelling salesman problem

13.50 - 14.50  What more can metaheuristics do than finding good solutions?

16.00 - 16.40  A new ant colony algorithm using direct inter-individual
               communication aimed at continuous optimization

There is no registration fee.  However, participants will be expected to
pay on arrival a small charge of about £10 to cover the cost of catering
(lunch, coffee, etc.).
