i notice you are subscribed to this list, and would like to ask whether you
think that in "the naming of parts", software art could be named as one
area of identifiable practice? If so, could you say how you might see this
kind of work being curated within a museum/gallery context?
"The category I judged was called "Artistic Software" which will
be changed to "Software Art." Transmediale's Artistic Director,
Andreas Broeckman, created this...category to recognize the artistic
merits of software as a medium in itself. Software has long played a
secondary role to "interactive installation" in media festivals."
