Hi, everyone.
Yesterday I posted a message on the production of B+ in the gas phase. I
got many good suggestions from you. I thank you all for your help.
It turns out that the most simple (yet efficient) way to produce B+ ion
is by laser ablation of pure Boron target. We need a stable B+ signal and
this can be achieved by slowly rotating a Boron rod. The Boron-Nitride rod
we used before apparently is too tough to produce anything even at high
laser power.
You have a good day!
