Faraday Discussion 118: Cluster Dynamics
University of Durham, UK, 18-20 April 2001
Electronic registration is now possible for the Faraday Discussion on
Cluster Dynamics, at:
http://hotdog.rsc.org/conference/buyer/index.cfm?CurrentEventID=10
Since this was only introduced today, the deadline for "early bird"
registration (with reduced registration fees) has been extended to
21 February 2001.
If you register online, you will be required to pay by credit card.
I would also like to publicise the availability of bursaries to help
students and other "young researchers" to attend the conference.
There is 3,000 pounds (altogether) available for bursaries from the
Angela and Tony Fish Bequest, and post-docs are eligible for this
as well as students.
The student "early bird" registration fee is only 30 pounds (or 15 pounds
for RSC student members), and I hope that we will be able to make a
substantial contribution to the "standard" accommodation package of
180 pounds.
A fast-loading (HTML) version of the conference details is also now
available, at
http://www.rsc.org/lap/confs/fara118.htm
This includes a link to the electrinic registration page and to a
PDF file containing the bursary application form. [The link currently
says "student" bursaries, but don't be deceived.] The direct URL for
the bursary form is
http://www.rsc.org/pdf/confs/faradisc/fara118bursary.pdf
You cannot apply for a bursary electronically, but the form may be
FAXed to Christine Hall at the RSC on +44 207 734 1227
The deadline for bursary applications has also been extended to
21 February to allow people to take advantage of the new Web setup.
If you pay by credit card and are then awarded a bursary, the RSC
will be able to make a refund to the credit card.
