PH.D. VACANCIES IN ATMOSPHERIC CHEMISTRY
Department of Chemistry, University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Applications are invited for Ph.D. positions working with Dr. Bill Simpson
at the Geophysical Institute, University of Alaska Fairbanks. The
NSF-funded positions are for developing cavity ring-down spectroscopy
(CRDS) for both laboratory and field application. We have developed a
CRDS-based detector for the nitrate radical (NO3) and will use this
detector to study the atmospheric chemistry of this reactive radical.
Details of the research project, necessary qualifications, salary and
application procedures are given at the web site
