OXFORD WELLCOME UNIT FOR THE HISTORY OF MEDICINE
ACADEMIC-RELATED RESEARCH STAFF GRADE IA: Salary £16,775 - £25,213 p.a.:
The Oxford University Wellcome Unit for the History of Medicine is seeking
a Research Officer to work on a Wellcome trust funded project on The
Development of the Hospital System in the Bombay Presidency, 1900-1950. The
successful applicant will work closely with Dr Sanjoy Bhattacharya, Dr Mark
Harrison and Professor Michael Worboys. A doctorate in the history of
colonial South Asian history is essential, and familiarity with health and
medical issues or the history of western India is desirable. The post is
available from 1 August 2001 for a period of 30 months.
