TEMPORARY LECTURER IN HISTORY
Applications are invited for the post of temporary Lecturer in History,
with immediate appointment to 31 January 2002. The successful candidate
will have teaching and research experience in the history of imperialism,
preferably with an interest in its economic, medical or socio-cultural
aspects. It is expected that the successful candidate will possess a
completed PhD in an appropriate area.
The successful candidate will join a well-established team of modern
historians with a strong research culture, and will contribute to
undergraduate and postgradaute courses in nineteenth and twentieth century
British, European and imperial history as appropriate to their experience
and expertise. History at SHU achieved a 4(B)in the 1996 RAE and is
