While we are on the subject of promoting good websites, I would like to add
support to the view that museums are being proactive. It seems an
appropriate moment to raise awareness of a successful project carried out in
SEMS Eastern Region ...
Last year Resource offered funding to promote good practice and better
knowledge in ICT. These funds were co-ordinated by the mda, who helped to
initiate projects through each AMC. The funds in SEMS Eastern Region were
used to train 3 ICT advisors in web authoring and web design. The 3
advisors then went on to disseminate their knowledge to museums throughout
the Eastern Region. Training days were held, which were attended by
volunteers and professionals alike and proved to very successful. A report
is to be published soon by SEMS Eastern Region, which would be worth a look
if anyone has a further interest in how this project was set up,
co-ordinated and delivered.
