I joined ONS in November as head of the Socio-Demographic & Health
Variations Branch - now fortunately shortened to just Health Variations
Branch. My area of responsibility includes secondary analysis on
socio-economic and geographic variations in health, and the research and
analysis side of the LS. That includes:
* Processing applications from potential users of the LS
* Ensuring non-academic users are supported within ONS
* Clearing outputs for publication
* Procurement for the LS support contract 2002-07
* Developing ONS's own LS research programme
I have no previous experience of the LS, though I have had contact with
longitudinal studies before through the NCDS, and so I'm working hard to
learn as quickly as I can.
My email is [log in to unmask], but if you have an LS application or
a document for clearance please send it to [log in to unmask]
