Apologies for adding to your Monday morning trivia, but long-time Web users
will remember the Cambridge coffee pot webcam from the days "when there
really wasn’t very much else to look at on the Internet".

The world's first webcam is to be turned off later this year, because the
Cambridge University department that owns it is moving to new offices.
Computer scientists at the university set up the coffee pot webcam because
they were fed up with walking down flights of stairs only to find there was
no coffee. Since it went online it has had over 2.4million visitors.
