During the last year some titles changed its name, some titles were
discontinued and some titles changed ownership. As a result some titles
cannot be accessed at the moment as they are shown as "Unsubscribed". We are
working very hard at the moment to change this and provide access to the
changed titles. Additionally we will provide access to new titles for those
that were discontinued or changed ownership. We will inform all
ScienceDirect customers by email on all the changes in the next few
weeks....
Should you have any further questions, comments or remarks, please do not
hesitate to contact me at the address below......

Subject: Science direct - changing titles
We started a subscription last year to Science direct, but seem to have
found an unusual problem since then. When journals change their title, we
continue to have access to the archives for that title, but not the new
content under the new title, presumably as this title wasn't listed as part
of our subscribed content on the day that we signed the contract. e.g. we
have access to The journal of logic programming, but not The journal of
logic and algebraic programming (its new name).
Has any one else experienced this problem? Has anyone managed to then
arrange access (at no extra cost) to the "new" title? Is it actually
legal? If it is, would there anything to stop a publisher changing all
their titles and making us pay again to resume access? I would be
interested to know what other people think.
Thanks,
Debra
