Apologies for multi-postings.
Is it possible using Excel to display three components on an x-y plot:
Say, first
(i) x = a/b -v- y = c+d (where all components are variable) and
(ii) x = f/g -v- y = h/g (where f and h are variable but g is constant)
second, divide the result of x/y in either (i) or (ii) scenario and plot
against a third component, z, which is variable although not a ratio.
Is this statistically legitimate? If so, this should give a 1D scatter
graph of three components.
If the above is not scientifically valid, does anyone know of a programme
that can:
(a) compute 3 components that are statistically legitimate into a 1D graph;
(b) compute 2 (or 3 as above) components into 2D (I cannot think of a way to
produce 2D in Excel).
Regards
