Hello JC, Noble petrologist,
I suppose that you joke but I prefer to specify that there is nothing
pejorative in my remark.
In conclusion: Q rich diorite is a tonalite, trondhjemite is a Na leuco-
tonalite, enderbite is a Opx tonalite: it is simpler for me. And now, one
proposes the name adakite. Is there adakite in the archean TTG, unless some
T, tonalites are adakites? Sorry, the problem is not so different than in
metamorphic nomenclature (pyribolite, pyrigarnite, khondalite, kinzigite).
"We have our blue book!"
Which is this splendid blue bible? The book of Lemaitre 1989?
