> North East Museums Libraries and Archives Council (NEMLAC) is the new

> NEMLAC is appointing four full time Development Officers to assist in the

ACCESS AND LIFELONG LEARNING
Assisting the Access and Lifelong Learning Policy Officer with the
development and implementation of regional cross sectoral strategy and
policy for access, lifelong learning, social inclusion, disability, and
cultural diversity issues, providing advice on these and related matters to
members and external agencies.
> ARCHIVES
> Assisting with the development of regional cross sectoral strategy and
> policy and its implementation in respect of care of cultural and historic
> collections, providing specialist advice on the care and development of
> archive collections and related matters to members and external agencies
> and
> supporting the implementation of the Regional Archives Strategy.
>
> FUNDING
> Assisting with the development of regional cross sectoral strategy and
> policy and its implementation in respect of access to sources of external
> funding for the sector, providing members with specialist advice on
> funding
> and assistance with the preparation of all types of funding applications.
> 2.5 days a week will be spent specifically on projects for Tyne and Wear
> Archives.

> INFORMATION
> Developing and maintaining statistical and information resources for
> NEMLAC, monitoring regional and national policy developments contributing
> to the development of a regional ICT strategy for the sector.

> All posts are local government Scale 5 £15,210 - £16,680 (pay award
> pending). Applicants should be graduates, preferably with professional
> qualifications and relevant work experience. These are fixed term 2 year
> contracts, with renewal dependent on funding; local government terms and
