I'd have to agree with Mike on this one "locate monuments etc as accurately
as possible". The source used to create the boundary is ONLY as accurate as
the map base, look at OS accuracy variation. It perhaps also depends on
whether the polygon has been created using a snap mode at the scale of the
map. In an ideal world we would have to map at 1:1! Is the current practice
of digitising and creating SM boundaries consistent and correct using the
1:10,000 raster base without snap to node, or is, for example in Somerset,
the 1:1,250 base WITH snap to node, used for the SMR and SM transfer, a
better one?
