I am attempting to determine how common, or uncommon, construction of
geomembrane liners below the normal ground water level is in other
countries, as well as various states within the U.S., for either landfill
or other waste containment facilities.
In addition, how common is the problem of floating HDPE liners in liquid
waste containment facilities constructed below the normal ground water
level, given the density of HDPE?
Any references to published articles on either or both of these topics
would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
