3.08 LUFTBURNA HACKARE SABOTERAR FIBERKABLAR
Seko-magasinet.

3.08 AIRBORNE HACKERS SABOTAGE FIBEROPTIC CABLES
The concept "hacker" i IT context has got a more literal
connotation since it was reported that blackbirds have
hacked and destroyed fiberoptic cables that were hung on
the Swedish Power Net's power cables.
The balackbirds have primarily attacked a blue plastic
tube that covers the cables at every tower. When they
have broken these outer covers, they have continued to
hack and in many cases managed to damage even the glas
fiber itself. There are also black plastic tubes, but
those were left alone.
Several companies, among others Tele2, have suffered
interruptions of service due to the birds' activities,
reports the Seko-magazine.
