Dear list-members,
I am a student of Social Anthropology in Switzerland and
I'm about to complete my MA degree. I wrote my MA thesis
on Westindian Migration to Britain after the 2. Worldwar,
remigration, and identity formation of the second
generation.
I am planing a PhD research on transnationalism and
development and I am wondering whether there are any
development projects in the Caribbean organised and
financed by migrants or their foreign born children.
Does anybody know about such projects (also on a very
small, communal scale) that are planned by 1. or 2.
generation Westindian migrants? I am particularly
interested in Guyana and Trinidad, but I would be happy
about any other information, too.
I would be very greatful for any support or comments on
my project!
Thank you,
Susanne Wessendorf
