Vacancy as full time doctoral fellow in technology, innovation and
culture
("SKO 1017").
Centre for technology, innovation and culture ( TIK) at the Faculty of
Social Sciences, University of Oslo.
TIK at the University of Oslo is based in the Oslo Research Park close
to
the university campus, has modern office facilities and offers a
stimulating multidisciplinary research environment. The centre conducts
multi-disciplinary science- and technology studies. TIK is in the
process
of organizing its activities around three overlapping main areas:
1) globalization and innovation,
2) organization, knowledge forms and institutional development, and
3) analyses of science and technology according to perspectives within
cultural theory and history of ideas.
The applicant's project must be within one of these three areas.
Candidates are invited to present a 5-10 pp. project proposal for
research.
The quality of the research proposal har large signifiance regarding the
ranking of the applicants.The research proposal must include theme,
research problems, choice of theory and method, and time schedule for
the
studies.
CV and a list of publications must be enclosed (3 copies). The
master-thesis (or for applicants from Norway etc. "Hovedfagsoppgave")
and
any other scientific works must accompany the application (3 copies of
each). In the case of joint authorship a declaration by the other
author(s)
regarding division of responsibilities should be enclosed.
It is a condition for being awarded a doctoral fellowship that the
candidate is admitted to TIK's doctoral program (Dr. Polit). Women are
particularly invited to apply.
