While I would agree entirely with a policy of openness, especially when
it comes to exam scripts, I would not agree with encouraging students
to request all the information the HEI is holding. This results in an
incredible amount of work and leaves the student with a lot of
information that will not help them in any way. It would be much more
productive if advice centres could help the student narrow down exactly
the information they require and then concentrate on ensuring that this
information is obtained.
