BRIEF DETAILS:
Applications are invited for the new post of Fixed Term Archivist/Records
Manager. The postholder will spend half their time developing and
implementing a records management policy for the University, to include the
establishment of a new records centre.
The remainder of the time will be spent working with the Coalfield Web
Materials project, a digitisation initiative involving photographs, audio
and video tapes from the South Wales Coalfield Collection. This part of the
work involves editing electronic item
level descriptions, and overseeing the handling of archival materials.
Applicants must be graduates with a postgraduate qualification in archive
administration, and must have training in records management.
The appointment will be for a fixed term period of 12 months and the salary
will be on the Grade 1 salary scale for Administrative, Library and Computer
Staff, £17451 - £19486 per annum.
