Just to pick up on the last comment from Simon Mckeon:

Yes, the onus is on employers to make vacant posts as attractive as
possible - and in reality, not just in a "come-on" job advert. However, if
prospective applicants are to come with a free market attitude, then they
must not be upset if they are treated in the same manner. But is that really
the way we want to serve and be served by our co-workers ?
