This course will give practical experience, highlighting the strengths of MS Excel for statistical work, helping you to determine when you have exhausted what the package offers, and needs extending. We will also discuss in detail aspects of data management as an essential precursor to speedy statistical work.
The course relies on a hands-on approach, with practical work, discussions and presentations all based on our experience of using Excel in our work as consultant statisticians.
Who should attend?
This course is suitable for anyone who is currently using, or considering using, Excel for their statistical work. It is also suitable for statisticians who need to advise others on the suitability of Excel. Participants will be assumed to have some familiarity with basic Excel skills and with elementary statistical methods.
