HEFCE workshop: student residential accommodation projects - Wednesday 21
March 2001

1. We have organised a workshop to share experience of some of the
residential accommodation projects in the sector. Over the last year
private sector companies have shown an increased interest in the market for
student residential accommodation, and a wide variety of contractual
relationships is beginning to merge.

2. The workshop will be held on Wednesday 21 March 2001, in Woburn
House, Tavistock Square, London WC1. To facilitate a free and frank
discussion this forum will be restricted to delegates from HEIs only, with
no private sector companies or advisers represented.

3. The main focus will be on case studies presented by HEIs. We have
also planned time for discussion and for delegates to share their own
experiences of projects.

4. The conference room will accommodate 150 people; attendance will
therefore be limited initially to one place per institution. Places will be
allocated on a first come, first served basis. To cover the cost of room
hire and refreshments, there will be a charge of 50 per delegate.

5. The outline programme, booking form and details of how to book are
available on the HEFCE web-site, www.hefce.ac.uk under 'Finance' then
'Private finance'.
