Dear Georgio and Paul-
If I understand what you are interested in it would seem the various
comments by Martin Dodge of the UK [email= [log in to unmask] ] would provide
some valuable starting places.

I have unfortunately lost the link address for the mapping of 'Antarctica'
but it was quite impressive. The only drawback for general audiences was
the need for an upgraded Microsoft platform (5.0).

Subject: ip addresses and their geographic location
Hi
I was wondering if there is a database that correlates IP addresses to their
geographic location. I know that Akamai provides a commercial service, which
offers some of the information (country code and state code for the us).
Thanks,
Giorgio
