I might add to Konrad E.'s fantastically helpful and concise note that the
Bandini catalogue is difficult to find, but does exist in microfilm format
which is more easily obtainable via Interlibrary Loan, for example. Since
your student does not read Italian, you should be aware (as the titles
indicate) that this catalogue is in LATIN for all the mss., regardless of
language. It is also arranged by columns rather than using pagination so it
gets tricky to cite.
